Of menus and primates concerned with obsolete technology

Because even a single level needs some menus, How else are you meant to pause it and leave it without getting killed?

More Info after the jump.

Right, today has been a day of moving forwards with the project, even if it is slightly to the left and meandering a slight bit.

Menus have been implemented for the standalone version and they're something I wont be changing or removing for the time being for webplayer versions of the level, maybe after the summer show or if it's completed before and I have time to integrate the Kongregate API into it.

The main menu has a nice background I made for the game a while ago but never got around to using, I'm unsure if there will be an options button at the main menu as well as the campaign and exit buttons simply because I really don't know what kind of options I should or can have on a Unity game. Not that it really matters much, as long as I have a playable level I'll be happy and as long as it looks pretty, whoever marks it will be happy, win, win I think.

While musing about weapons today I have decided I will, at some point, rewrite all my weapon code, which amounts to about 3, maybe 4 scripts. This is so I can have the main camera also be used as a scope for those weapons that are so inclined to see further, as well as having the crosshair in the middle of the screen all the time. It'll also give me a good reason to clean up and improve my crosshair script and add shiny new features like a texture for each shiny gun.

ANYWHO...

Current version of the level can be found HERE!

Esc brings up the pause menu, should probably have a big flashing PAUSED sign somewhere in that menu, just so people don't think that a menu is my final major.

Also, I had no idea that Faxmonkey had a new Mage Tricks video out, let alone that it was released some time last year. That guy is equal parts crazy, crazy skilled and just plain ridiculous. If you feel like you're missing out, like I have, take a look at his warcraftmovies page >>HERE<< if any of that made any sense to you whatsoever.
